Halifax Harbour Islands Culinary & Glamping Adventures
You will be WOWED by this exclusive culinary, outdoor adventure & glamping package.
For a fortnight in August 2017, the Halifax Harbour Islands will host a world class culinary, outdoor & glamping adventure.
Your 2-day experience begins with an intimate chef-prepared breakfast in the beautiful Small Craft Gallery of the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic. A scenic boat tour of the Harbour transports us to a world far from the sights, smells and sounds of the vibrant Halifax waterfront. A guided hike exploring forest and coastal trails, two forts, a lagoon, dunes & beaches awaits. Enjoy A delicious chef-prepared oceanside lunch overlooking a crescent beach & lighthouse. Animal encounters may include marine life such as seals & whales, seabirds such as piping plovers, cormorants & ospreys as well as deer, fox and rabbits.
After a full day of adventure, we’ll travel by charter boat to an enchanting overnight on Georges Island. After some time to relax, we’ll embark on a culinary tour of Georges island, Fort Charlotte & her labyrinth of tunnels. Wine/craft beer & food pairings are a prelude to an amazing sunset dinner overlooking the Halifax skyline. Enjoy ice-wine-infused s’mores & talented local musicians by campfire before retiring to your well-appointed safari-style glamping tent (for 2 adults). Your morning includes an oceanfront breakfast, optional sunrise hike and ocean kayak tour.
